CredibilityAs I am doing readings for my Genres of Business Communication course, I figured that I might as well post some useful information for everyone. To be credible, the audience of your material must perceive you to be someone who can be trusted. Your audience should have confidence in you.

Credibility Downfalls:

  • cheap stationery
  • unorganized documents
  • poor spelling
  • arrogance
  • unclear
  • hostility

Credibility Upbringings:

  • good stationery
  • organized documents
  • correct spelling
  • confidence
  • ability
  • authority
  • goodwill
  • good sense
  • good moral character
  • professional appearance
  • well-disposed
