Health and Thinness
During the previous four months, I was on work term, which left me with no homework and time to do some heavy cardiovascular exercises. I lost 10 pounds and I hope it’s 10 pounds of fat. I am trying to regain my weight, but this time with muscle mass. I was reading my feeds today and saw, “Does Being Thin = Healthy?” posted by the Diet Blog. Apparently, being thin is not necessarily healthy, especially if it’s because of diet alone. Without exercise, a thin person may have high levels of internal body fat, placing the person at health risks. I’ve been slacking on my exercise lately and I don’t see my lower torso growing larger, so I might be getting some internal body fat. I guess it’s time to do some swimming beginning next week. I’ve been told that swimming provides a good combination of cardiovascular exercise and resistance training. With that said, it’s always about balance. To maintain a healthy lifestyle, we must have a good diet and perform regular exercises.
